Since 2008, Yvonne Scully has provided business consultancy services to SMEs through Enterprise Ireland, Bord Bia and County Enterprise Boards throughout the country, as well as working for a number of SMEs directly. Yvonne’s main specialist areas in which she provides training through workshops, clinics, mentoring and working on in-house projects are: Consumer and Market Research, Marketing and writing Marketing Plans, Branding and labelling, PR and writing Press Releases, Raising and Managing Funds, Business Feasibility Studies, Business Planning and writing Business Plans, Business Strategy, New Product Development, Developing and implementing an Export Strategy.
In 2003 Yvonne founded Bia Kid Ltd from High Potential Start Up (HPSU) having spotted a gap in the market for fresh, healthy, convenient food for children. The company ran successfully for seven years providing Healthy Meals and Soups for children through all Irish retail outlets, foodservice outlets and the UK. Yvonne has been responsible for all areas of running a business: Researching a business idea, Raising and managing finance, Market research, Innovation and continuous NPD, Bringing products to market, Key Account Management with Retail Buyers and Distributors, Brand Creation and Management, PR and Marketing campaigns and Business Strategy. Through this experience and subsequent work with Bord Bia and several SME Food and Drink Companies, Yvonne has extensive knowledge of Retail, Distribution and Foodservice industries.
From 2000 – 2001 Yvonne did a full time MBA at the Smurfit School of Business, UCD and then spent 18 months working for the National Competitiveness Council and Forfas, the Government policy advisory agency specialising in supporting innovation and industry.
From 1988 – 2000 Yvonne spent 12 years working in Investment Banking in London and Dublin mainly in the areas of Structured Finance, New Product Development, Project Management, Marketing and Sales following a degree in Economics and Business from Trinity College, Dublin. Yvonne successfully completed a NUI Maynooth FETAC Level 7 Training and Continuing Education course in June 2010.
Yvonne has travelled extensively through Asia, South America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Mexico), the USA and Continental Europe (often on business) and has done some business in Africa through the African Development Bank.
